I was born on December 30, 1976 in Medellin, Colombia, where I was raised by a family of artists. At the age of 16, I re-located to a small town in Mexico, Valle de Bravo, where I began my artistic studies with my uncle Felipe Saldarriaga, a renowned artist. I proceeded to study Graphic Design at the University Latino Americana in Mexico City. Afterwards, I studied fine art in Barcelona, Spain, at University La Eina and University La Lotxa. In 2001, I moved to Manhattan, New York, where I began to exhibit my work at various art galleries, and did several commissioned portraits, paintings and murals. In 2002, I relocated to Los Angeles, California, where I currently live and work. I continue to exhibit my work in various art galleries, paint portraits and my original paintings, and murals on consignment.
As an artist, my fascination has been to combine reality with fantasy. I predominantly paint in a surrealistic fashion, however, on consignment, I can paint in any of the major art genres, such as impressionism, realism, cubism, etc. Some of my major influences have been Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Diego Rivera and Vincent Van Gogh.
